D. Robert Franz has been a full time professional wildlife photographer for over 20 years. With formal training in wildlife management and geology he has extensive knowledge of the natural world. His photography has been extensively published worldwide. His images have been featured in , Audubon Magazine, National Wildlife, Smithsonian Magazine, Sierra Magazine, Defenders Magazine, National Geographic, Das Tier Magazine, Outdoor Life, Sports Afield, Field and Stream, and many more. Robert’s photographs have hung in the Smithsonian. Robert is also accomplished assignment photographer. Clients have included Adolph Coors, Wildlife Conservation Society, Field & Stream Magazine, The Trust for Public Lands, Via Magazine, and many others.
Robert and Lorri have won many awards for their photography over the years. In 2001 and 2004 Robert had winning images the “Nature’s Best” photography contest. Robert is a Images for Conservation Pro-Tour Nature Photography the most challenging photo contest in the world.
